Located near the quiet town of Karatu, and less than a kilometre from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Oldeani Safari Lodge offers a serene and convenient location for travelers to visit the northern parks of Tanzania in a more intimate and relaxed environment than what is found in most larger safari lodges.
The Lodge is within an hour's drive of both the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park, and just a couple hours from Tarangire National Park, so staying with us at the Oldeani Safari Lodge maximizes your game viewing while allowing you to relax and mingle with other guests in our comfortable and informal "home-like" lodge. At the Oldeani Safari Lodge, we have four comfortable bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom. We feature queen beds and double bed configurations (and the twin beds can be pushed together to make a king).
One of the key features of our lodge is that we are 100% solar. Our power comes from roof-mounted solar panels and our hot water is generated by a passive solar heating system.

Additionally, our water comes from a well nearly 150 metres deep and is pumped to the surface into large holding tanks with a solar-powered water pump. This water has been tested and confirmed to be free of bacteria and contamination.
At the Oldeani Safari Lodge, you will enjoy delicious meals served by our local chefs. Your stay at the lodge includes a hearty breakfast, a picnic lunch for your day out on safari, and then a sumptuous dinner served in the evening. We also offer beer and wine, plus tea and coffee served all day long.
